Meet Your Therapist & Founder of ETW
Hello, I’m Philecia Ward, LMSW, JSOCC, and I am the founder of Evolve Therapy & Wellness, LLC. I am passionate about creating a safe and supportive environment where individuals and families can heal, grow, and thrive.
I am a Licensed Master Social Worker, currently practicing under the supervision of Ashley Pleasant, LICSW-S in Alabama. My professional experience spans work with both adolescents and adults. I specialize in treating anxiety, depression, and mood disorders, as well as providing specialized care for youth with problematic sexual behaviors (PSB). I am also certified in conducting Psychosexual Evaluations.
Beyond credentials, my approach is rooted in compassion, authenticity, and respect. I believe every client has the strength within them to grow, and my role is to walk alongside you in that process. My practice is grounded in the NASW Code of Ethics, ensuring professional and client-centered care in every session.

Philecia Ward, LMSW, JSOCC is a licensed social worker and Juvenile Sexual Offense Certified Counselor specializing in the assessment and treatment of adolescents with problematic sexual behaviors (PSB). She is approved by the Alabama Department of Youth Services (DYS) to provide treatment services to youth adjudicated of a sexual offense and provides both clinical treatment and forensic psychosexual evaluations for courts, probation, and families.

Problematic Sexual Behaviors (PSB) TREATMENT (DYS APPROVED)
Evolve Therapy & Wellness, LLC provides specialized sexual behavior treatment for adolescents who have been adjudicated of a sexual offense or referred through the juvenile justice system.
Philecia Ward, LMSW, JSOCC is approved by the Alabama Department of Youth Services (DYS) to provide treatment services to youth adjudicated of a sexual offense in the State of Alabama.
Treatment services focus on:

Services are available for:
• Court-ordered youth
• Probation-referred youth
• DYS-involved cases
Treatment is delivered in accordance with Alabama DYS standards and best practices for adolescent sexual behavior intervention.
Psychosexual Evaluations
Evolve Therapy & Wellness, LLC provides comprehensive psychosexual evaluations for adolescent males ages 12–18 who present with reactive, sexualized, or problematic sexual behaviors. These evaluations are used to support courts, probation officers, attorneys, child-serving agencies, and families in making informed decisions about treatment, supervision, and safety planning.
Each evaluation includes:
• Structured clinical interviews with youth and caregivers
• Review of legal, social, and treatment records
• Collateral information when appropriate
• Standardized, evidence-based tools including the Juvenile Sex Offender Assessment Protocol–II (JSOAP-II)
• Clinical formulation of risk factors, protective factors, and treatment needs
• A written forensic report with clear recommendations
Evaluations are conducted by Philecia Ward, LMSW, JSOCC, a Juvenile Sexual Offense Certified Counselor with extensive experience working with court-involved adolescents. Reports are completed with professional forensic oversight and supervisory sign-off by a DYS-recognized clinician, allowing evaluations to meet juvenile court and probation standards.
Our process emphasizes clinical accuracy, developmental understanding, and rehabilitation-focused recommendations, not punishment. All reports are handled with confidentiality, professionalism, and careful attention to legal and ethical standards.

What are Psychosexual Assessments?
At Evolve Therapy & Wellness, psychosexual evaluations are comprehensive clinical and forensic assessments for adolescent males ages 12–18 who exhibit problematic sexual behaviors (PSB). These evaluations support courts, probation officers, attorneys, treatment providers, and families in making informed decisions about risk, treatment, and supervision. Each evaluation uses an evidence-based, trauma-informed approach to examine a youth’s sexual development, behavioral patterns, trauma history, and psychosocial functioning. The goal is to provide a developmentally appropriate understanding of risk and guide individualized treatment and safety planning.
Evaluations include structured clinical interviews, caregiver input, record review when available, and standardized tools such as the Juvenile Sex Offender Assessment Protocol–II (JSOAP-II) to identify risk factors, protective factors, and treatment needs.
All evaluations are completed by Philecia Ward, LMSW, JSOCC, under licensed clinical supervision and in accordance with Alabama social work practice standards. Reports are prepared with DYS-recognized forensic oversight to support use in juvenile court, probation, and post-adjudication treatment planning.
